It would probably help you if you could get on a regular schedule. Even though you were probably exhausted, sleeping until noon is probably the reason you couldn't get to sleep the next night. Also, "trying to sleep" guarantees you won't fall asleep. There are some good books on insomnia that would help you. (Say Goodnight to Insomnia by Greg Jacobs and Desperately Seekin Snoozin by John Wiedman).
