Hope,bye the way am I correct to assume that Hope is your first name ? there are significant differences between you and me. Yes I have tried different alternative medicines. Acupuncture,hypnosis have done nothing for my insomnia. I have taken a regiment of vitamins for years to supplement my already healthy diet ( low fat low sugar lots of fresh veggies & fruits. Minimal red meat ). I work out daily and maintain a healthy balance between work and family.

Maybe because I came of age during the 60's I tend to question and don't just accept the pabulum that some people espouse. If some one makes a claim to certain knowledge they should be prepared to back it up with facts, not opinions based upon a personal experience. Just like your statement about poor John Wayne having 55 lbs. of fecal matter in his intestine. I notice you chose to ignore responding to my question of where this information came from. There is absolutely no scientific evidence that Colonics do all that their proponents claim they do. Any evidence is purely ANECDOTAL and any merits are theoretical. I have noticed in many of your posts that you have no problem in giving advice. That's great since the board is for support and information. However giving False "Hope" through statements that you style as fact but are merely your opinion is dangerous to the mental health of people that are typically on the edge anyway.You my dear, are a prime example of a little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing. Anyway, I'm glad you're sleeping better for whatever reason. If you want to attribute your sleep to colonics that's fine with me. just be careful about recommending every new age therapy without having any scientific basis to do so. Like my mother once told me, you don't have to jump off the bklyn. bridge to know it probably isn't good for you.
