Sounds similar to my problem. I suffered from extreme daytime fatigue, would often leave work early and go home but was still not able to fall asleep. Was on paxil taken in AM, and then also started taking ambien on a near daily basis for three months. The ambien would put me to sleep for a few hours, but did not leave me feeling well rested. A new Dr. told me to stop taking the paxil and ambien and put me on 30mg remeron taken before bed, guessing that my problem was more anxiety/stress related than depression. The change has been amazing. I haven't felt so good in ten years. Ask your doc about trying remeron.
