Regardless of low wbc counts, sleep definitely does have an impact on the immune systems. I have had sleep problems since 9 months old. When I was 19 my immune system fell apart (one doctor suggested I might have AIDS because my immune system was so crazy) but ultimately they figured out that I had not been sleeping in deep enough stages of sleep (your immune system is restored in deep stages of sleep). Once I started sleeping well & in deeper stages, all the immune problems went away (only to have returned years later which is where I am at now). Anyhow, good luck.
