hi eliza =) i know how you feel because when i was a teenager i had phobias that u are experiencing except that mine was not fear of sleeping. whenever my dad travels, i get this intense fear that his plane might crash. I got tired of being fearful and eventually, i learned not fearing anymore.

You just have to get over your fear eliza... most probably, and trust that nothing will happen to you when you sleep..that nobdoy will kill you, and that you will not die in your sleep. You are just OVERLY anxious, eliza =) Please get over that fear, it's costing you your health and well being! Eliza, just look at it this way, when you sleep the chances of you not waking up again or something bad happens is so slim and aside from that, the more you don't sleep the will get sick eventually because of exhaustion.

In the mean time, while you really can't outgrow ovenight this fear, you can help yourself be relieved from the fear by making sure your doors and locked, your house is secured, and if possible ask someone to sleep with you. Hopefully, eventually, you will outgrow this fear =)

Goodluck to you!
