Eliza, me and you have the same prob.

I have always suffered from anxiety but two nights a few months ago I had a really bad time getting to sleep and after the second time I 'snapped'. I have a fear of sleeping because of 2 reasons:-

1)That I am going to not wake up
2)I am scared to sleep because I am having weird dreams and scared I will be stuck in these dreams.

However when I think about it- its ridicullous, nobody can get stuck in a dream and you do wake up. When asleep you are in fact consious too.

It sounds as though you have axiety and something has cause you to focus on sleep. You really should seek professional help soon.

e-mail me if you want to :)
