Amoxicillin causing sleep problems

Is there any evidence of amoxicillin causing insomnia? I have been on amoxicillin for 6 days, and haven't slept much at all in those 6 days. It's so bad, that I am not going to finish the prescription because I can't function without any sleep! I've noticed this in prior years, but forgot about it until a few days into this prescription.
