Posted by HB on June 07, 2001 at 09:55:27:I have never been a good sleeper, never took naps as a child, can't sleep on planes, nor can sleep with anyone in the bed. About five years ago all of the sudden environmental 'hums' started to disturb my sleep. I've spent many hours searching the net. I even moved to a new location, with no success. Ear plugs, fans, etc, don't work with low frequency noises, so I have not been able to provide myself with a quiet envirnment, which is one of the keys of good sleep. If I play music, the music keeps me awake, same with wave sound makers. I found some interesting stuff about a hum in Taos that affected a lot of people and caused sleep problems, but not what people did about it. If I wasn't a bad sleeper in the first place, this wouldn't be a problem. Takes me two hours or more to fall asleep, some nights not at all, occasionally have to take sleeping pills. Does anyone else have this problem?
