I got a lot of info off the benzo.org list when I finally needed to come off Restoril - after enjoying nearly 2 straight years on 30mg, with amazing nights of sleep! Needless to say, it worked for me. Came off very slowly without any problems (except the return of constant alpha intrusion). Now have switched with some success (not great) to gabapentin - an anti-seizure drug that has sedatory properties when used in small amounts (700mg as compared to 41,000mg for real use). Also use Starnoc occasionally which will buy me 3-4 hours at a time. These are the Canadian names btw - don't know if they are south of the border...
