Elavil and Ambien together?

Last night I only slept 3 hrs off and on all night. Tried to nap today but couldn't. Have an important early morning schedule and was wondering: Would a one time dosage of Ambien (10mg) and Elavil (25mg) be ok? The Ambien if from a previous doctor; Have been taking Elavil for 7 months. Would it be ok to skip a dose of Elavil since its such a low dosage? Thanks!
