I refuse to take them and they mess with my head big-time - I would rather be tired then not be able to get it up, feel uncaring and zombieezed the next day -which is what they do for me. To get any drug like (sedatery effect) you gotta' take a big dose, like 50mg. It will adjust the chemical mix of your brain and unless you are depressed you don't need your seratonin levels changed.

On the other hand, you cut off all your options. It's nearly impossible for Ambian to give you next day drugged feeling because the drug has a half-life of 4 hours, this might be a "not getting enough, or getting too much sleep issue" that makes you feel like that. I would stick with the Ambian and try to make it work. Try a 5, try taking it an hour before bed (Just don't leave the house cause it's like tripping)
