Mike,

Thanks for the input. The Ambien I had before was of the 10 mg variety, but I didn't have very many of them. My concern is that I'll get to a point where I can't sleep without it. I really don't wanty that. I've tried all kinds of different relaxation things before going to bed, as well as turning down all the lights in the house, but nothing seems to work (I've had spells of bad insomnia like this before, but they usually last two weeks max before I crash and my sleep cycle gets "reset". I'm going on four months now and I'm still waiting for it to happen, despite experiencing the "crash" twice already). About the only thing I haven't done is go to a sleep center, and since my doctor hasn't even mentioned it, I get the feeling my insurance doesn't cover it. You seem to have a lot of knowledge about Ambien. What have your experiences with it been like? Is it possible to get to a point where you don't need it anymore? I don't particularly care to be dependent on medication to sleep for the rest of my life.
