i think conditional or physiopsychological =) it can be controlled by modifying cognitive patterns... i also suffered almost the same problem... after hell weeks in college, i developed a state of being "on the move" or "anxiety"... this was supposed to keep me awake and not fall asleep for a test. But even after college, it that state of mind stayed in me although i dont need it anymore... and i developed insomnia. I modified my behavior and learned how to RELAX and LET GO. There were days when i wouldnt sleep at all and would fall asleep at 4 or 5am. But now... i think i have solved a large part of my insomnia because i can sleep 8hours a night from 1am. Goodluck! There is a way
