Our doctor has prescribed paxil each morning and ambien twice a week. This doctor advised not to take the ambien two days in a row. With the help of a sleep journal, we pinpointed the days that were worst for sleep, so we space them out. Also, we had prescriptions from 3 different doctors for different problems. I called our primary and asked about all of the meds to make sure there were no problems taking them together. It is a good idea to have one doctor regulate or oversee to avoid any cross mixing problems.
