I know how you feel! I've been struggling with insomnia since the birth of my son 18months ago. I have not tried Elavil but had a friend who uses it for the same problem & has gotten some relief. I have been using Trazadone with pretty good success, although I still go through bad streaks at times. I just had to quit taking it though b/c I just found out I'm pregnant...starting to have some trouble again so I'm hoping there is something else I can use while pg.
Anyway, if you have any problems with the Elavil, you may want to try Trazadone.
