HI Steve...if your still around, I just thought I'd share my experience. First, I totally agree with Anita. Restoril & Ambien are for short-term use. They will most likely become ineffective in time...as they did for me. I became totally sleepless after the birth of my first child. It was a struggle to get through each day...I was desperate & tried everything including Ambien, Restoril, Xanax, Paxil & Zoloft. Nothing worked for very long & I had very bad reactions to the Paxil & Zoloft...became very sick, couldnt eat a thing & insomnia was even worse, I thought I would die. Then I very reluctantly tried Trazadone...it worked! I slept better & had absolutely no side effects & it didnt mess up my head, in fact it cleared it since I was able to sleep again. I was very against anti-depressants myself but this one is worth a try. Good luck!
