Actually, yes, I was walking after work quite regularly...kind of taking the long way home to get some exercise...about 30 minutes or so. it has been WAY too hot lately and I haven't but I just ordered an exercise tape, and plan to do it in my air conditioned apartment. I did find it cleared my head a bit, and I definately think it improved my mood. I need to make it more of a routine..morning exercise would not work for me, because I try to stay in bed until 8 am..the last paoosible minute for me to rest before getting up and dealing with my day (to add to matters, i have NEVER been a morning person). and by the end of the day i am so spent in every way i have to force myself to walk, when all i really want to do is go home and relax. but, long story short, i definately agree with you that exercise helps-at least for your psyche.

the two books are "say goodnight to insomnia" by greg jacobs, and "desperately seeking snoozin" by john wiedman. both encourage ways of overcoming insomnia w/out the use of medication/drugs and alcohol, and focus alot on cognitive restrucuring-how we perceive sleep and our rest. Alot of what they recommend is sleep restriction, which I don;t think i could really adhere to..there is no way i could stay up until 2 am to get my required 6 hours sleep-and with needing to work, i really could not risk it. but the thought restructuring sections i have found to be very positive and helpful-at least in controlling my panic somewhat. you can order them through this site, i think or through amazon.com. check them out, i think you might find them helpful! keep me posted on how you are doing, maybe we can help each other out, or at least be a sounding board...good luck!
