Afraid of not falling asleep

Posted by Sandra on August 23, 2001 at 14:44:26:

How is it possible to be soooooo.... tiered and not be able to sleep? I fear when the night comes of not being able to sleep again. All my thoughts during the day are just about sleep. I guess what originally caused my insomnia is long over but now I am just so afraid of not returning to normal sleep ever again. Isn't that crazy... I can't sleep because I am afraid I won't be able to sleep? I tried many different approches to let go of this fear(bought books about sleep, tried natural remedies, sleeping pills, exercise) but nothing seems do work. All I get is about 3 hours of sleep each night. I am so hopeless at this point is this ever going to end? Do I have to live like this for the rest of my life? Has anyone an advise or idea how to resolve this?
