The short answer is Dalmane comes in 15 & 30 mg capsules. If you've been on it for more then 2 weeks then you need to slowly taper off. Generally the rule of thumb is 10% every 2-3 weeks. there are people, who because of their body chemistry can accept a faster taper. However usually the slower the taper the less horrific are the W/D's. Dalmane is one of the longer half-life benzo's so the good news is that it's easier to get off of then some of the newer ones such as xanax,klonopin etc.

I have been tapering since march...from 30mg/night to 17.5. I have had to go back up several times due to vacations/travel but I'm back on track to sleep med free.
