insomnia only with a sleeping partner

Posted by jimone on August 26, 2001 at 10:38:34:

Hi there

I don't know if anyone has experienced what happens to me. I sleep okay alone, but when I share the (king size) bed with my longstanding g/friend, I cannot drop off and get very anxious, eventually I need to go to the spare room. She is very understanding, but it has got to the point of now starting off the night in separate beds. We are both 30, and in a happy fulfilled (apart from this) relationship. I have tried zopiclone (which works okay), but would appreciate any advice on long term strategies.

Many thanks for any replies
