Hi ...Your message screams with frustration. I know. I have been there. A few years ago I slept sometimes 10 hours a week, sometimes being up for three solid days in a row also. Today I am sleeping seven hours every night. You will survive!!! Stop trying to sleep. It will work against you....Just relax and do quiet things.Take a leisurely walk , a hot bath, and listen to some classical or new age music.Take a benedryl which tends to make you somewhat sleepy. You do not mention if this is a chronic problem and how long this has been going on.If it is chronic then you may need to make a decision to see a doctor and take medications for a while until you can understand what is happening to you and establish some sort of sleeping patten. You sound really anxious and anxiety caused by insomnia is horrible and often difficult to control. If it is just a transient occurence than don't worry so much. Your body and mind will eventually seek the rest it needs even though you may think it is not enough.
Lookig back at the years I had such terrible insomnia, I realize that my worrying was the main element needing dismissal. Please try to calm down
and relax. You will eventually get tired and sleep. Hope
