JoAnne, thank you for your comments and the positive message they convey. I do/am a positive thinker and I know that someday I will be med free and able to sleep w/o them.

Having said that I truely do believe that many of these meds are poison and do more harm then good. Your analogy to a crutch...i hear what you're saying but when you don't require the use of a crutch you just discard it with no ill after effects. The benzo's just don't go away quietly. They are a monster that wants their pound of flesh.I will fight them and I may loose a couple of battles....but in the end I intend to win the war !!

You are absolutely right...A positive attitude gives you a lot of ammo for your weapon.
