It doesn't have to be down south...the thoughts this time were that alot of locals seemed to live closer to there (by their blogs or posts), and that we might visit or be visited by the Palo Alto surgeons, and that the venue there was a bit less expensive than an in-city venue.

Having said all of that, the actual choice of the hotel was a bit arbitrary (thanks to Wm Shatner). If we have a long period of time to plan the next one, we can certainly find something further in the North Bay knowing that many participants may be coming from there as well.

LOL...I personally favor a venue at a spa in northern Napa Valley during the "crush"... However, that might be more fitting for another type of group meeting !
