You never said anything about CATAPLEXY. The #1 main symptom. I am sure allergies could cause sleeplessness, but if the sleeplessness is not accompanied by cataplexy, trippy dreams - he probably did not have narcolepsy and was taking the power pill when he did not need it.

There is a gene tst that can be done with a simple blood test.

With narcoloepsy I think many people are either not diagnosed, or they are missed diagnosed as having it.
