I was originaly diagnosed with sleep apnea. I use a CPAP machine. It was great for about a month and then the sleepies came back. I've continue to get worse. Went back to sleep lab and this time got diagnosed with narcolepsy too.
I took Provigil at 200mg for a few days. I felt some better but then still had to sleep during the day. Dosage went to 2x a day. Still helped but did not clear the cobwebs and I still needed a nap.
Doctor has switch me to Cylert and can I tell the difference. I have energy and I don't feel drugged or a need for a daytime nap. I'm ready to go to sleep, usually, at my regular bedtime. I've been able to accomplish things that I've only been able to dream of in the past. It's wonderful feeling like I have come alive.
