I have been on Provigil for 2 weeks. I am experiencing better and longer alertness without the percipitous drop off the ledge of awakeness when it wears off. I do experience some let down, but it isn't too bad. My problem is that I have been in the habit of taking prophylatic naps. This usually involves 15 minutes morning and afternoon, and sometimes a half and hour at lunch. However, now when I take these naps, I have a tremendously difficult time getting conscious again. I set two alarms and don't usually hear either or if I do am unable to respond. Does anyone else have this experience or have suggestions how to deal with it? I need to get back to work after these naps.
