Nancy - I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to write this VERY informative response. I was diagn. in Dec 98 and all the information I've read has only made me want to hide. I'm on ritalin and my dr gave me a script for Provigil. I'm hesitate to switch b/c I'm alert most of the time with ritalin. How do I know the Provigil will be any better. I was off ritalin for about 4 weeks in Feb/Mar b/c of surgery then not being able to get my prescription from my dr in Houston, Tx - I live in Alexandria, LA. This has been the hardest thing for me - not being able to get my meds. I don't want to be without again. It was the worst time. Again, thanks. You are much appreciated. Kay
