hi lisa. i'm matt. i'm french, 27 years old.
i've been diagnosed narcoleptic while i was a student. i've had real hard times since trying to find a job, which is even worse here because of the lack of jobs. i've been fired three times, always for the same reason : being late.
my productivity was excellent. but i did not show the right example to my workmates. being late is a taboo here too. i never suited anyone though... this kind of fight is lost, before the start.
so i'm trying to deal with this, knowing i need to do more than others, and that i must do things that appear stupid just because the people can't understand what is the reality of narcolepsy. that taking a nap or two during the day is not worse than taking 3 breaks to smoke cigarettes, and that, if this is handled properly, i can even be more efficient at work than any "normal" person. This is not fair. but you can't fight alone.

Matt.
