i totally agree with Vern on that you MUST find another doc. this one seems definitely obsolete.
if you find a real doctor, one that tries to help his patients, you can always tell him about the provigil/modafinil which is, as vern said, non-narcotic. i've been under modafinil for 5 or 6 years. i can even forward you information on this if your doc need to learn about his job, and the things he should know about medications.
