Questions about Support Groups

Posted by Bev on April 22, 1999 at 19:04:05:

I have been considering starting a support group in Colorado, but I have a lot of questions.
*Now that we have forums like this, do some of you all feel like support groups aren't as necessary?
*If you have been in one, what is the most significant element for you in your support group?
*If you have helped facilitate a group, what questions do I need to ask myself before I undertake such a task?
*If you live in Denver Metro, do you know about any already existing groups?
*How has your group dealt with people with other major problems that are not sleep disorder problems?
I have already received the extremely well written handbook from Narcolepsy Network.
I appreciate any input. Thanks. Bev
