insurance

My husband has narcolepsy and our insurance will not pay for the provigil. He's been on Ritilan for about five years and before his doctor said he had to get off them for at least one week a year. His new doctor said if he felt he needed more, he could increase his dosage. Nothing about getting off them for a while. Any suggestions? Especially about getting insurance to pay. They pay for Ritilan, a schedule II drug, but something not as dangerous, they won't?
