Lorna -

I have been on Ritalin and Cylert and am currently taking Provigil. All 3 seemed to help dispell the haze and lethargy. Provigil seems to be working better than the other two. The Provigil keeps me unhazed most days, as well as more awake. Only side effects I have had are a slightly dry mouth and a strong smell to my urine. Provigil also lets me down slower than the others.

Other people with narcolepsy may have had different reactions to these three drugs. As you read the horror stories that are sometimes posted here about this or that medication, remember that people who are doing well on their medications (whatever it is) do not usually post and say how good things are!

Let us know how things turn out.

Merrill
