My sleep test(MSLT) was done while i was taking my meds even the day of the test!It made no difference. Results were still consistent with the the diagnoses of the indicators for Narcolespy with the average sleep onset of 2.2 mins.I got a copy of the tests and forwarded then to another lab for another intterputation and they suggested a test while off the meds for two weeks.the second test was done at a certified sleep lab but the results were the same.Add the history of Cataplexy, sleep parlysis, automative behavior, hallucations earned me the definite diagnoses of Narcolespy/Cataplexy.Something I had overlooked came to my attention at this point.Life would not get any better in fact it became worst since I now had to wrestle with knowing I had a desease with no cure an lacks less than a optimum treatment.Being already on stimulants there was no reason to expect an improvement........to lorna, sorry that my last post went to your e-mail,sleepy me didn't realize it till i went to ckeck my post in the formun......rip van winkel
