cataplexy without narcolepsy

Posted by Emrille on December 18, 2000 at 01:11:19:

do anyone know if it's possible to to have cataplexsy but not any signs of narcolepsy?
I remember a friend of mine falling down from a loft-room and she sat down and had an attack just like the ones I have as catalplexy. I then understood why a large cataplexy attack may seem so frightning to others. We first thought she had hit her head or something, but she told us (when she got back to her self) that she could have attacks like that. And she could feel them come, and she could partly hear our voices through the attack. she has been tested negative for epilepsy.
