adderall reaction

Posted by Bird on February 27, 2001 at 11:54:38:

I was diagnosed 6 weeks ago with Narc. I've tried Provigal (horrible), Cylert ( comatose) now Adderall. I was very optimistic about Adderall and at first it seemed to help. Now my skin has a red hue to it. My pharm. says its normal, but I feel like I have a sunburn on my face. My B.P. is ok Oxygen level ok and temperture ok. I just look red and " feel " warm. My ears are beet red and feel hot. I talked to my Dr. and she said to stop the med and she would refer me to a sleep clinic 60 mi away, which may take months to get. I told her my pharm. said Desoxyn might help without the side effects. She said NO NO NO, I do'nt know why shes so against it , the Adderall and Desoxyn are both schedule 2. I am currently taking 10mg 2x daily. I told her I did not want to travel 60mi no telling how many times (120mi round trip ) not knowing if they could help. I told her the red skin was the only side effect and the med helped. I asked her if I could reduce to 10mg 1x a day or 5mg 2x a day she said ok. Can anyone tell me if you or someone you know has the flushing due to Adderall? And why would she be so against Desoxyn? Thanks. P.S: I didn't take Adderall this morning until I talked to my Doc. and my eyes are crossing ,can't focus and sooooooooo sleepy. Bye.
