Thanks for your responses. I feel better knowing that I am not alone in this.

I am so tired tonight after nights of bad, shallow sleep that I cried when my husband gave me a grilled cheese sandwich because it had "the worng cheese." Every fibre of my being is craving deep sleep. sigh
