My experiences with depression and anxiety have been very much the same as yours. I think it is a chicken and egg thing. I have thought at times that my depression brought on fatigue/drowsiness, then other times it seemed the other way around. Either way, I do not believe it is a chance thing. At the very least, I think it is hard not to be depressed when your day is dominated by fatigue and/or drowsiness. Add to it the insensitivity of otherwise well intentioned friends and family, plus encounters with people who laugh or state you are just lazy, it is hard not to get depressed. Further, there is the neurochemical imbalance caused by (and/or causing)sleep disorders that I think must also have an effect.

Unfortunately, I know little about zanax and serzone. My meds have been effexor, wellbutrin, and provigil. I have been told that any of these meds might (its not the same for everyone) take up to 2 weeks (maybe more) to have a noticeable impact on symptoms.

I wish you well!!
Sigma
