Sigma,
May I add something that I should not have forgotten to tell you the other day...Probably in my "haze"....This will sound really dumb, but... I did not KNOW i had Cataplexy...I do not have it to the point of going īlimp and falling to the floor...Sometimes, I will be squatting down and simply cannot get back up...usually when I am stressed, or ticked at someone...or something...like when I have dropped a glass for the umpteenth time that day...and cleaning up the pieces...

I also just considered myself "clumsy".. for no apparent reason, I would just fall...down steps...or UP steps for that matter...the first real episode I can remember of NO EXCUSE muscle control loss was accepting an award in grade school...I was pretty much excited/terrified... Before then, I have no memory or problems...

I used to play "catcher" for our softball team...and in practice I WAS FABULOUS:: but when the excitement of the game hit...my arm would not throw to the pitcher's mount...I would feel that almost"rush" and then down the ball would go...I considered it NERVES...

I have also lost my voice on stage...not that I forgotten the words or anything...just NOTHING would come out... My training in theatre teaches me to keep myself under control in public...but sometimes...

At any rate, I did not realize these are also considered Cataplexic events...Until I explained about dropping the glasses... and then she probed further... Ask everyone else...maybe you will get some insight...:-)
Best of Everything,
Kara
