I have had two polysomnograms on the first I fell asleep quickly and went into rem sleep quickly. On the second test I didn't fall asleep as quickly but once I did fall asleep I went into rem quickly and on both tests they said I had narcolepsy. My impression after many years of talking to others is that interpreting test results (polysomnograms) is sometimes complicated but you can leave that worry up to them :)
