You should always check with your pharmacist before taking any meds--even over the counter ones. My mother-in-law is a pharmacist and she found an interaction with Tagamet and Zoloft. Now when I have acid reflux (due, ironically, to the Zoloft), I take Gaviscon or Tums. Again, you should always check with your pharmacist. That experience really opened my eyes and made me more vigilant re: my meds.
