I believe I have microsleep episodes, too. I do have a confirmed case of narcolepsy. My episodes are like a blanking-out type thing. Sometimes I can sit in almost a catatonic state and stare. I think when you are really sleep deprived (whether from OSA or N or something else), this is your bodies way of "stealing" little fragments of sleep. The provigil really helps me too.
