What to do?

I've got a friend who's just been diagnosed with narcolepsy. She's very sensitive and somewhat embarassed about it. She won't talk about it and she won't even tell her family. It's beginning to affect her socially and I'm really worried about her. Some advise on how to handle the situation will be greatly appreciated.
