Welcome! search this site for more info, but my understanding is... u can have Narc with out cataplexy but not Cataplexy with out being Narc.

Cataplexy affects ppl differently and to different degrees. Some of my attacks are very dibilitating, but generally controlled by meds.

As far a driving, that is a hot debate often. After learning more about my own Cataplexy & N I am more attuned as to when it is safe to drive or not. My suggestion is to 1st get a diagnosis for sure & then take the docs advice. If this persons lively hood is a bus driver this will obviously impact their life a great deal.
