n and safety

Posted by student on July 03, 2001 at 20:58:54:

Well.....today, I had my last chemistry lab of the "first semester" (for summer classes that is)...and so while working on my lab write up, and having some N episodes...a thought/question crossed my mind....and so I thought I'd toss it out here on the forum; and possibly get an anwser.

So, I'm strongly considering majoring in a science (likely neuroscience) here at school. And to do so, I need to take lab. courses, that correspond with the given lecture courses. For example, Organic Chemistry w/ lab.....

I was wondering, is it a "safety hazard" for me to be working in a lab with chemicals/toxic substances around me?

To recap my condition, I have OSA, may have N or a seizure disorder (neither of the latter two have been confirmed). Either way, it's a similar occurance.

I'm wondering if anyone else here has been in a similar situation, and what you've done...have you beenable to work in a lab enviroment?

I'm just looking for any advice....

Thank you all in advance!
