Ive been diagnosed for about two years but have had symptoms for about 7 years (im 27) the very first signs of N were what I thought were out of body experiences...now I know they were Hypnogogic hall.. and sleep paralysis. Sometimes I will have about 10 experinces of paralysys a night allways after a vivid night terror... I wake up but I dont know that Im awake if you know what I mean..Im still terrified from whatever was going on in my dream and I cant move.... I live with my girlfriend and somewhere in the back of my mind I know she is sleeping beside me ..the only thing I can do to get her to help me snap out of it is to make panicked sounds with my breathing...quick wheezing or grunting sounds..I know it sounds a bit odd but remember Im absolutly terrified.. she normally wakes up and shkes me and talkes to me making me wake up completley..if she dosent get me to sit up and open my eyes I end up dropping back into the same dream and having it happen all over again...when shes away I get completley freaked out because sometimes my dreams seem to stay with me when I wake and I think there is someone in the house or worse I think Im awake (but im dreamong) and I can see someone in my house and when Im paralysed they can attack me ..opnly to dissappear completly as I get controll of my muscles and jolt awake..... I think Im going grey from the stress of it ...but on the bright side Its not fatal... (ignore spelling im typing too quickly)
