No one can answer your question for you. As you've already read there is confusion and ambivalence about getting a diagnoses. In the long run whatever is right for you is right for you. The posters here can only tell you what is right for them, or what their opinion is based on their experience.

For some people (maybe even most) getting a diagnoses is primary. It rules out the possibility of other disorders, narrows down the major complaints - and generally attempts to treat the worst of the symptoms to improve the quality of life.

My diagnoses helped me. Good luck in your search for what is right for you.
