chris, good point about the alcohol/supressed REM, makes total sense to me. I never really thought about it before but I have a much better time at a party if I get a few drinks in me...and I can actually stay awake.
I am a smoker, and yes I think it helps. I've tried to quit a hundred times, but instead of eating to replace smoking, I sleep. Which, probably isn't much better.
"I live my life on coffee and nicotine," Sheryl Crow. That's me too. I can't even concentrate on the morning news without my coffee. Although, I don't think it has much of an effect on my EDS. Cuz, I can drink a pot of coffee then take a nap...don't know if it's the N or if it's because I have drank coffee all my life and I've developed an immunity. Oh, well either way...
Sleep on,
amee
