Okay, that is how I always hear that song in my head.

To wake up, I use an alarm with a tape player. I used to have the tape player wake me up first, then the alarm, but I discovered that I would quickly get used to whatever was on the tape and it would annoy me into turning it off before waking up. Now I use the radio and if people are talking on it, some part of me wants to hear what they are saying and that starts to bring me out of sleep. Then the alarm hits. Then I hit the snooze bar over a period of an hour and a half automatically until I see a time on the clock that tells me I absolutely MUST wake NOW. I sleep ALONE because this whole process irritates the heck out of other people.

I know some people use a wake timer attached to a light.

It's ten times easier to wake up when I've been getting regular exercise. About three times easier when I've kept a regular sleep schedule, especially if going to bed by 10:30...

I don't know. It's a challenge.

You're not alone!
