Dear Drowsy,
I have to say, I am just FURIOUS with the medical community! Trust me, you are not the first to be treated like a second-class citizen in the treatment of your OWN disease. The most important thing I learned (a long time ago), was to stop trusting doctors! It is very important that you take charge of this yourself...Meaning, don't take any meds until you research the side effects & interactions, and find docs. willing to work with YOU! For a while there, I stopped seeing all my N. docs. & only delt with a psychiatrist. He was the only one who seemed to have time for listening to ALL my symptoms, monitoring my progress, and experimenting with the meds that I felt comfortable with. The most important thing to do is to find a THOROUGH doc. And read as much as you can & ask as much as you can.
Unfortunately this world is full of underqualified professionals who see you as a client and not a HUMAN BEING! You can only trust yourself, UNTIL a doctor PROVES him/herself trustworthy!
Good Luck,
VERA
