MLST taken today for N

Posted by Verysleepy on October 05, 2001 at 19:43:04:

I have been diagnosed with Apnea for about 10 years, and have been using a CPAP. I am still tired all the time. Today I underwent a MSLT for possible Narcolepsy, as well. I won't get the results until Monday. Since I was a teenager, I have dozed off inappropriately, at work, in the movies, driving, etc. Other than the drop of the head upon falling asleep at these times, I have no cataplexy. I am not sure what I am asking for here, just some understanding about the MSLT, and how it is used to determine or rule out N. I fell deeply asleep during each "nap" and I think that I dreamed. I was groggy all day as a result of being awakened from a deep sleep. Please if anyone has anything to tell me, while I am waiting, I would appreciate a reply.
